20 March 2019 - Diamond xChange: Deconstructing Diversity
DIAMOND xCHANGE will explore the power of data collection and other evidence to advance the diversity agendas in the UK media, strengthen business models and maintain a competitive edge. It is hosted by CDN, the industry body created and funded by the UK’s broadcasters and tasked with inspiring and supporting the British television industry to increase diversity and inclusion across the entire supply chain; including on and off screen.
The Field director, Sholeh, will be in conversation with the inspirational Hope Azeda, a leading figure in Rwandan theatre and founder of the Mashirika Performing Arts Media Company. The session will explore social transformation, the importance of diversity in meeting the challenges of the 21st century, and grapple with the vulnerability of cultural leadership in uncertain times.
Other speakers confirmed include, Alex Mahon, CEO, Channel 4; Gary Davey, Managing Director (Content), Sky; James Currell, President, UK, Northern & Eastern Europe, Viacom; Charlotte Moore, Director, Content, BBC; Asif Zubairy, Commissioning Editor, Entertainment, ITV; and John McVay, CEO, Pact.
